Its subsidiary, Naza Prestige Bikes Sdn Bhd, has been appointed as the sole authorised dealer for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, motorclothes and accessories.

"Our expectation for the sales for the first year is 150 units. That is just on bike. But like I said before, Harley Davidson is like a culture and a tradition.

"Aside from bike, there are some merchandise and accesories, it's like the whole hordes of Harley Davidson.

"We have done a pre-sale for bikes. The first shipment of 20 units are all sold before we have a showroom. So we are having a temporary showroom at the PJ Auto Mall for the next two months before the actual showroom is build in August," he told media briefing after signing an agreement with Harley Davidson Asia Inc here.

Naza has been granted exclusive rights to import and market the bikes. It plans to the "Harley Davidson of Kuala Lumpur" flagship showroom with service centre in August.

Nasaruddin said the company planned to invest about RM10 million to set up the showroom.

He said Harley-Davidson of Kuala Lumpur would bring the whole product line-up produced by the US manufacturer.

"Among the first models to be made available is the Harley-Davidson 105th anniversary model, a limited edition range produced in conjunction with Harley-Davidson's anniversary celebration," he said.

Meanwhile, Naza Prestige Bikes Sdn Bhd executive vice president, Datuk SM Zulkifli SM Amin, expected the bike business to do well.

"When you talk about Harley, you are talking about niche market. There is certain kind group of people who loves the brand and this is the brand.

"We will achieve the sales target this year despite the increase in fuel prices," he said.
